The people who built what we wished had existed
This is not a roster of job titles — it is how four paths crossed, tightened, and became one direction.
MeTalk did not start with a pitch deck. It started with trust — the kind that grows when you have shared roots, different strengths, and the same impatience with a system that asks women in tech to thrive without enough guidance. We are Iranian-Dutch: at home between cultures, fluent in perseverance, and honest about how lonely a brilliant career path can feel when mentorship is scarce.
Fahime had spent years inside the Dutch startup ecosystem, mentoring founders and spotting where support broke down — not for lack of talent, but for lack of people who understood the maze. Afrooz brought the eye of growth: how stories travel, how communities take shape, and how a fledgling idea earns the right to be remembered. Sodabeh carried the backbone of NGOs and women’s empowerment work — turning values into logistics, events into continuity, strangers into neighbours. Fereshteh turned sketches into software: resilient, scalable, the quiet architecture that lets a fragile idea hold real weight.
We did not line up neatly as “titles first.” We orbited the same question — what would it look like if mentorship were fairer, clearer, and within reach — until the work found us: strategy beside brand, operations beside code, late nights beside early mornings. That is the journey we are still on. MeTalk is the platform we wished had existed; building it has been the story of showing up for one another until we could show up for many.
